Welcome to Tank Teddy and Friends!
Now this may come as a surprise, but Britain never invented the humble teddy bear. You know, the ones that sit at home in just about every country in the world – loved by all children and most adults all of whom have at least one in their bedroom.
The humble Teddy Bear was invented by a German company called – Margarete Steiff, and of course, we all knew that it was named after that the Great USA President Theodore Roosevelt.
Collectible teddy bears are those that were manufactured in 1902. The history of teddy bear started after a cartoon in the Washington Post revealed President Theodore Roosevelt sparing the life of a bear during a hunting trip.
Since the rise of the teddy bear in the first part of the 20th century they have made thier way into our hearts and into our homes. Teddies seem to have melted hearts of people, men and women, young or old. They make us laugh, make us mourn, and also brings back memories of when they were given to us, or we bought them.
You will find Teddy Bears at home and in the workplace and even announced on television ads. They have appeared in books, comics, movies and TV shows. Teddy bears are everywhere.
But teddy bears are listed in the books we have come to love did the greatest impact, why not know and I think if you were to ask the authors and those who develop them say “I do not know”, but we all know that haves and have touched many hearts and many children have not gone to sleep without hearing the great stories of the bears lovely.
Now there are plenty of bears out there we read and hear about and I imagine there will be many more, but three Bears who have touched the nation and the world. These three bears can account for sales to large industries whole have been built around them and still make money for everyone.
Of course I am talking of Pooh, Paddington and Rupert.
These three bears have captured children and adults alike, and have made these same people spend money on buying the new toy, story or DVD and will be forever. These three bears will always people money. So if you see a Pooh, Rupert, Paddington or you need a good home in a fit of car sales, look more closely, and give them a good home.
And if not sold will be there with you for many a day to make you smile and laugh, why …. And that Pooh, Paddington and Rupert, and with these three anything can happen and who knows you might pick up a crop and then be smiling all the way to the bank.
