Teddy bear
The first teddy bear made its debut in 1902, its creator Richard Steiff be (the father of the teddy bear) nephew of Margarete Steiff created the great Steiff Company in Germany. The teddy bear was originally developed for children up birth, the children had not stuffed they could kiss or snuggle up in bed at night. Of course, they had cubs, but these bears were modeled the "real" door with looks that were pretty scary for small children, they were also made of metal or wood carved hard they were certainly nothing like the teddy bear hot and sweet that we know and love today.
Shortly after the birth of the cub, He became famous throughout the entire Western world and not only was he very popular with children but also adults only adored him, and comforters and plush bear children also became a mascot for adults.
By the time of the First World War, many companies stuffed in Britain began to produce their own versions of the teddy bear. In 1913, the German production of the toy was six times that of Great Britain, but after the outbreak of war, people would not buy German products and, unfortunately, including teddy bears. British companies such as Farnell teddy and WJ Terry took the opportunity and began producing teddy bears very desirable of their own. These teddy bears are now highly sought after on the collectors market today.
Many soldiers who served in World War I was a teddy bear with them, or the teddy bear was their childhood or wear, they have a teddy bear by a close member of their family or their girlfriend. Unfortunately many teddy bears that have left the country to serve abroad with their soldiers not return, but some did and sometimes they come to auction, but it goes without saying that, because of their origin, they reach very high prices, although the price may put you in possession of such a large piece of history?
During the years 1920 – 1930 of Teddy Bear Company just exploded and the British soft toy companies such as the famous Chad Valley, Chiltern Merrythought and became part decision makers from leading teddy bear in the world.
During the Second World War, most officials had prestige as Merrythought stop production because the two company premises and staff were needed for the war effort. However, the bear never Teddy was necessary as so many people, especially children needed to keep his body warm and comforting to help them cope with the ravages of war, but not only children but adults. Indeed, we know many teddy bears that have helped adults and children through many horrors of war. The teddy bear was without a shadow of a doubt their hero! Many teddy bears at the time of the Second World War, survive so far, but again, prices are low, but what other antiques could offer so much history with so much love attached to it.
It is in recent decades that the collection of teddy bears became popular. Today teddy bears are collected by people from around the world. For many, this is not only a fun item to collect, but, as with all forms collection of antiquities, a form of investment. I like to think that on the whole teddy bears are bought because of their beauty and the character and perhaps as a companion, I would also hope that one day the teddy bear becomes an honorary member of the family.
Whether you fall for an old teddy bear with history or a teddy bear that new breaks you find in your heart, to have a teddy bear and taking care of him is a very important decision in your life, but nevertheless a decision you never regret.
In summary, I would just say that a teddy bear is really your friend for life!
