The new face of the teddy bear
When most of us think of the teddy bear, we see it as a hug, maybe chubby cute face and adorable plush but not always how it looks.
Let's see …..
As we all know, Teddy Born in Germany in 1902. The teddy bear first took his eyes from the "real" in that it bears a very long pointed snout, long legs and a bump on the back so that when he was on all fours, he looked like a "real" support. Initially, jointing teddy bears has been a bit of a problem for Steiff, but very quickly it was resolved. The teddy bear first performance was given a nose of wax, but it was soon replaced by a "stitched" the nose. So very gradually teddy bear we know and love today, little by little, even society that created it, he began to change its characteristics.
The teddy bear popularity spread Soon the entire Western world and shortly after his birth, Teddy companies on both sides of the Atlantic began to produce their own versions of the teddy bear. United States States, President Roosevelt (who gave his name to the teddy bear) was very fast to acknowledge the great appeal of the teddy bear, in fact, he used the teddy bear as a mascot for the rest of his political career and when Roosevelt entered room for discussion of music "Teddy Bears Picnic" has often been played. However, in 1904, presidential elections, most recently formed Ideal Novelty and Toy Co. produced a teddy bear that could be distributed to potential voters in Roosevelt. These teddy bears were only 15 cm high and had large eyes and rather watch (Especially those eyes were known as bulging eyes). Some of the most popular dolls of the time those eyes were very strange and well, we guess, that is where the idea of using them are. Later, the Company had Ideal teddy foreheards made with wide, large ears (which were discarded) and wedge-shaped muzzle, giving these plush bears somewhat triangular appearance. Some of the teddy bear's nose made of cloth (a fine and very tight Manufacturer or Supplier) but most have been sewn.
Back in business as Great Britain JK Farnell, WJ Terry and Dean's Rag Book Company began producing their own versions of the teddy bear. The teddy bear craze hit Great Britain around 1908, perhaps this was due to the fact that Great Britain had acted as "Teddy" in Edward VII. However, the first company to produce teddy bears articulated in Great Britain was the JK Farnell Company. The teddy bears they have produced is now even more popular with the beginning of the First World War because of all German products (which, alas, teddy bear included) are prohibited.
In 1912, Farnell teddy bear was a lot like the German teddy bear in her eyes, but his members a bit shorter (which was a feature that should prove very popular with British toy companies by the 1930s). These bears have not the bump German is famous on the back, but they do keep the nose slightly pointed.
In 1915, the English company of Chiltern very interesting product, but very "different" they called Teddy Bear Master Teddy. Master Teddy is available in five sizes. He had bulging eyes, which were typical period and that mimicked the popular animal cariactures time. Master Teddy was also dressed in a pink checkered shirt and white hat blue pants, which had a big red patch on his right knee and these pants were webbed with some braces. In 1927, the famous German company product Schuco Piccolo their magnificent series of miniature, toy animals, plush jointed mohair, which also included little teddy bear. In 1927, Schuco produced little teddy bear novelty, which were made in lipsticks, compacts and mirrors that can be carried in handbags for ladies, they also generated teddy bear perfume bottle. The little teddy Schuco were constructed of a single metal which was then covered with a short mohair material, their limbs were straight and short, nothing like the teddy bear that long limbed Steiff first product. Again these beautiful little teddy bear, although German origin, has changed the shape of the teddy bear and looks quite dramatically.
As time rolled teddy bear in the world we have had companies like British society, Wendy Boston which produced cracked teddy bears that have been fully Washable, but whose form has changed since these teddy bears look more "flat" than the original teddy bear. We have also seen many companies production of "gaping teddy bears and many British companies producing teddy bears with 'plastic' nose – which were on the style nose of a dog.
However, we include in this section of the famous and beloved Merrythought Cheeky Bears when you look The Changing Face of the teddy bear. Cheeky Bear was introduced for teddy bears in love in the 1950s and was radically different what we know as the Classic Teddy Bear. What Merrythought Bear Punkin Head? What, I wonder Richard Steiff would say about this Teddy Bear popular?
Today, we are accustomed to see artist teddy bear. All these bears have Classic Teddy Bear look, many artists teddy bears were stuffed classic seems completely backwards. Some of them only vaguely resemble what we think first as a teddy bear. They come in virtually any color you can think of, sometimes they are even multicolored, leaving behind the classic colors Teddy. Many of these bears are called "pieces of art.
Who would have imagined in 1902, when Richard Steiff invented the bear teddy tall old man, his face would change since he has, especially in recent decades.
To summarize, the bear Teddy can look but we want it to look but there is no doubt that, regardless of its appearance of the teddy bear has retained its softness and so kind. No matter how he looks, the big teddy bear and is always reliable Mans Very Best friend and companion.
